Gėlgamesh - Protection Paladin Empty Gėlgamesh - Protection Paladin

Post  Guest Thu Dec 10, 2009 11:35 am

• Name of character:
Gėlgamesh (The ė is made with ALT 141)

• Class:
Protection Paladin

• Tell us a little about yourself in RL:
My real name is Dennis. I was born on 21th januari 1987, if you do the math you can guess my age. Can write my age down now of course but then it will be outdated next year and I wouldn't want that.

I have HFAD (High Functional Autism Disorder - Asperger Syndrome) which makes it hard for me to communicate with other people resulting people to think of me as weird or to turn their backs on me. I am very fond of this game and therefor I want to try to maximize my gaming experience by joining a guild.

I'm sure there are still people out there that can cope with my disabilities.
As hobby I like to do website coding, drawing Anime, play the piano, watching Anime, play World of Warcraft and play a DotA or two on Bnet.

As a living I work at one of the largest insurance company in my country. I'm an administrator there and it's nice to do.

• What kind of guild are you searching for?:
I am looking for a guild that can accept me as I am. I sometimes can react a bit ''weird'' or ''agitated'' whilst I am not. This is caused by my disorder.

I am looking for a guild in which I can stay for years, make friends and gear up. I've tried other guilds before but I had big trouble connecting to it's members. I'm looking for a guild that would want me to stay with them for a long period of time, preferable till the very end.

I also want to gear up together with that guild. To be on top of the game as far as we can, especcialy with the upcoming patch where we can achieve guild achievements. I want to contribute in any way I can with a team that backs me up.

• Why have you chosen to apply to Moonlight and where did you hear about us?:
I was raiding with you all last night (9th december 2009) in Icecrown Citadel. I had so much time I asked Xirik if it was possible to join the guild.

• As a guild, we have clear social expectations, including helping guildies, participating in guildchat, being polite and generally fitting in with a group of fun loving raiders. What do you think you could add socially to the guild?

With all honesty it is very difficult to provide an answer for this question. I will help out as much as I can as long as it's in my own comfort zone. I don't mind helping guildies, or friends or even complete strangers but in the past many have also used advantage of this, because of that the term ''helping'' turned into ''boosting''. I would like to avoid that.

Allas, my proffesions such as Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing is always available to any of you, regardless whether I am allowed to join or not. The social ruleset is something I appriciate and something I will abide to.

• What are the things you like to do most, outside of raiding?
I like to earn achievements and gain exalted reputations. I spend a lot of my free non-raiding time to this. All my current achievements and gear was result of hard labor and time in the game. I am not a big fan of RP due to the fact that my social skills are below average.

• Please provide an armoury link here and your prefered Raid Spec(http://www.wowhead.com/?talent) including Glyphs:
World of Warcraft Armory Link:

World of Warcraft Heroes Link:

http://www.wow-heroes.com/- Type in Argent Dawn as server, and Gėlgamesh (The ė is made with ALT ) as character name, then hit the search button.

• What is your prefered spec for raiding? Why is that a prefered spec and do you have an offspec?:
My prefered spec is protection. I do have holy as offspec, however I prefer to stay and raid as a protection paladin.

• Tell us something about your raiding experience so far. This can include experience raiding with other characters:

• How many evenings per week can you raid?

I can raid all evenings depending on your raid times. I work 8-9 hours per day during weekdays. When I am home I have to cook dinner and obviously eat it. I can pretty much be online everyday around 19.00 (game server time).

• As part of raiding, we require good planning and forward commitment by our raiders, and an understanding that we have to rotate a little to ensure all raids are full and balanced. What would you do if you signed and we told you there would be no room?
That would mean I signed to late, hence my own fault. I can understand there will be times where one cannot come with the raid because of someone else signing up earlier. Such valid reasons are understandable and is considered to be ''tough luck''.

A different scenario would have been if you had been raiding the night before but the raid did not manage to finish all bosses. Then the other day someone else that is more then just a friend of the raidleader or guildmaster asks if he can join instead making him priotize above the one from the raid a day before, in such situation I would have morale issues with such descisions.

I tried my best in answering all the questions truthfully and clearly. I hope the feeling of making friends is mutual and that we have a great time in the future, if not then I do thank you for the time reading this application and I wish you all progression and luck!

With kind regards,

Gėlgamesh
